COMMUNITY ANTI-POACHING UNIT (CAPU)
The Community Anti-Poaching Unit is a local team that conduct patrols through the forests of Southern Cardamom, Cambodia. In 2015 alone they found and removed over 1,000 snares and interrupted 5 illegal logging activities. For The Animals commits to raising funds to provide the team with the equipment they need for their week-long patrols.
$800 per year provides one ranger with salary, uniform, boots, camping equipment and first aid supplies.
WILDLIFE RESCUE & RELEASE STATIONS
For The Animals provides food, medicine, enrichment and shelter for animals rescued from trafficking, habitat loss and the illegal pet trade. Care is available as long as the animal needs it with the long term goal being release back into the wild for those animals that are suited. For The Animals supports Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Station near Chi Phat, Cambodia.
$45 per month will supply fresh fruit and vegetables to feed one orphaned gibbon for one month.
