What information we gather
There are times when we may need to collect information from you through our web site. This generally involves filling out forms so you can contribute to an FTA project or attend an event. We require you to fill out a form with your name and email address. During this process, you are given the opportunity to decline further email notification of important news and events. In addition, you can remove yourself from the mailing list at any time by following the unsubscribe information in all our emails.
When you submit a contribution online, your credit card number will be submitted to the credit institution for normal, routine processing. FTA does not share credit history or credit card information with other companies or third parties, unless compelled by law or court order to do so. FTA does not store your credit card information in any way.

What we do with the information
The personally identifiable information gathered from the forms you fill out on our web site is used in three ways:
- To provide you with information about projects, services, news and events;
- To allow you to contribute to FTA ; and
- To gather broad demographic information about supporter trends.
FTA retains the services of certain outside contractors to perform services on our behalf (for example, to assist with credit card processing). At times, we must disclose relevant information about our customers to our contractors so they may provide specific services for FTA. FTA requires such contractors to keep your information strictly confidential and to use the information solely on behalf of FTA . For purposes of this Privacy Statement, such contractors are not considered “third parties” and FTA may disclose personally identifiable information to such contractors without additional notice.
In addition, the FTA web sites contain links to other web sites. However, FTA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.
FTA will use reasonable efforts to comply with this privacy statement and will take prompt corrective action when it learns of any failure to comply with its privacy statement. Because of the complex and constantly changing nature of technology, FTA does not guarantee error-free performance under this privacy statement.
FTA shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential or punitive damages relating to this privacy statement.
